What is Turn Up & Park?
If you haven’t pre-booked your parking, there are Turn Up & Park options at London Stansted Airport. But with limited availability and higher prices, we can’t guarantee you’ll always find a space.
That’s why we strongly recommend that you book your parking in advance to get the best price – especially during peak periods, such as the summer holidays, when it gets even busier.

Where are the Turn Up & Park car parks located?
There are four parking options for Turn Up & Park at London Stansted Airport:
- Short Stay Blue, Green and Orange car parks
- Mid Stay car park
If you find a parking space, you can pay at any of the automatic ticket machines in and around the terminal building. Alternatively, take a ticket from the barrier when you enter, and you’ll be charged when you leave.
Remember: Turn Up & Park spaces are extremely limited, so we strongly recommend you book your parking space in advance – it just takes a couple of minutes.

Directions from the M11
- Use Junction 8a if approaching from the London direction or Junction 8 from Cambridge / The North
- Follow signs for London Stansted Airport
- At Bassingbourn roundabout take the third exit, following signs to the Mid Stay car park
- At the next roundabout, take the first exit, and the Mid Stay car park is situated immediately in front of you

Picking someone up or dropping off
If you’re picking someone up or dropping them off at London Stansted Airport, you can also use the Turn Up & Park car parks. Areas are available at all of our Short Stay car parks or our Mid Stay car park.
We also have an Express Set Down option for quick drop-offs.
However, because spaces are so limited, we recommend that you use our dedicated Pick Up & Drop Off areas at each terminal instead.
