Blue Badge parking

London Stansted Airport has a great variety of Blue badge parking options. We’ve broke down everything you need to know – from walking distances to the terminal, to requesting assistance once you’ve arrived. If you need a wheelchair or assistance once you’ve parked, there are various help points located in each car park to request assistance.

Parking options

You can book your Blue Badge parking on our dedicated Blue Badge parking website.

Short Stay (Orange and Green Zones)

1-10 minute walk

Blue Badge Parking is available at our Short Stay car parks, in the orange and green zones. Although it’s just a short walk to the check-in desk, assistance is available 24 hours a day – just head to the help points located in each payment booth and along the main walkway to the terminal..

Long Stay

7 minute shuttle bus ride

Blue Badge parking is available at our Long Stay car park located in Zone Q. Just a short bus ride from the terminal, the bus service is free of charge and fully accessible to wheelchair users.

Blue Badge holders usually board the transfer bus before other passengers and are given seating priority and dedicated wheelchair points on board. Simply press the help button in the bus shelter and notify the controller that you require a transfer bus to the terminal.

Mid Stay

7 minute shuttle bus ride

Blue Badge parking is available in Zone L at our Mid Stay car park, close to the bus pick up shelter. A courtesy bus service operates to and from the terminal forecourt, and is fully accessible to wheelchair users.

The driver can assist you on and off if required. Please allow up to 20 minutes to transfer to and from the terminal. Help points are located outside each revolving entry door at the terminal should you require a wheelchair or further assistance.

Express Set Down

1-2 minute walk

Blue Badge spaces are located at the front of the Express Set Down. Vehicles cannot be left unattended in this area.  The Express Set Down fee is £7 for 15 minutes.  If you need longer than 15 minutes, please speak with a Marshal in the Express Set Down area for assistance.
